back to school! HCPA '14-'15

school is in session at Hall College Prep Academy! monday was our first day and we are off to a great start! it's technically still summer: 100 degrees outside, the pools are still open, and the neighborhood kids have a week before school starts, but we were ready. one of the things i love about homeschooling is the flexibility to set our own schedule and go at our own pace. i usually don't set a start date or end date, only goal-dates for beginning and finishing our work, usually aligning with the ISD calendar.

this year at HCPA, Big Girl (age 9) is in 5th grade, and Bubba (age 6) is in 2nd grade. this is our sixth year of homeschooling. both kids are enrolled in three classes in our local homeschooling co-op, academic and extra-curricular. this is our 3rd semester in the co-op and the kids have made some sweet friendships there!
