may days

even though we are hustling to finish school work, things are gearing up for Declare, and it rained more days than it was sunny, when i look back through my May photos, i realize MAY WAS PRETTY AWESOME. here's a peek at our May days:

this guy tested for and earned his BROWN BELT. watch out now.

my sweet girl tested for and earned her PURPLE BELT. fierce little thing.

and their instructor? she's pretty much one of my favorites. please notice in the 2 photos above this one her genuine pride in her students.

i got to go to a cooking / meal prep class with some ladies in my fitness accountability group. i learned that i love lettuce wraps and liquid aminos!

there was a day when we had to be out of the house for 6 hours and it was raining, so we went to a local church that has free wifi, an indoor playground and a cafe, and we set up camp. sometimes i have great ideas.

we borrow nearly 100 books from the library every month. May was no exception.

mother's day eve they took me to see Paul Blart 2 and to dinner at my favorite taco joint where we squished in to one side of the booth because LOVE.

on mother's day we went to church, lunch at my favorite mexican food restaurant, and then i did nothing the entire rest of the day. it was mother's day perfection.

i was invited to help lead the crowd in a little dance break at our church's women's conference. i look mad in this picture but it's because i'm MAD EXCITED. it was a total blast. we danced to "love glasses" hence the heart-shaped glow goggles.

Lisa Bevere and Bianca Olthoff spoke at the conference. their messages were powerful, God-inspired, and heart-changing.

the craziest thing i did in may: i hired a babysitter and snuck out to go see a movie with my Rox IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY. it was acca-awesome. she learned that when i watch movies i am vocal. i laugh loud and i unintentionally talk out loud to the characters. sorrynotsorry.

new prescription and new frames. happy and thankful girly!

any time it wasn't raining we got outside to play. he could run and explore all day long!

so June, you're up. i hope you're as half as awesome as May!

many people say, “Who will show us better times?”
Let your face smile on us, Lord.
You have given me greater joy
than those who have abundant harvests of grain and new wine.
