led to give

just a few more weeks until Christmas. there's something different on my wish list this year. there's something weighing on my heart: do something good, it throbs. make your gift more meaningful than ever before. give with a purpose. Lord, lead me, i pray.

here are some ideas for giving gifts that give...

give a soccer ball, a goat, ducks, or a child's education through World Vision, and give families in the Dominican Republic hope for tomorrow.

give a stylish camera strap cover, handstamped jewelry, or pretty yellow flower earrings through The Mercy House, and give pregnant girls in Kenya education, counseling, and maternity care.

give a shoebox, with socks inside, and a toothbrush, and a prayer, through Samaritan's Purse, and give a child the love of Jesus.

give a handmade bible cover, apron set, or finger puppets, through WorldCrafts, and give provisions for families in poverty.

give a pack of colorful greeting cards for all occasions through DaySpring, and give immunizations and other urgent medical care for children in need.

give a funky t-shirt, a coffee mug, a laptop, or a skateboard, through Join(RED), and give life to people in Africa.

give a customized crayon roll, a monogrammed coffee cozy, or a sweet little pin cushion, through Stitches by Sara, and give a child a loving place to call home.

give a CD of beautiful acoustic Christmas music by Tom Hemby, through The Troxell Project, and give financial relief to a young father fighting cancer.

give a bunch of handcrafted banana bark Christmas cards, a snare drum, rice and beans, or a fruit tree, through Food For The Poor, and give relief for sick and needy families in Haiti.

give a pound of medium roasted, African Fair Trade coffee beans through JustLoveCoffee, and give an Ethiopian orphan a loving family.

give a t-shirt she'll love, a warm hoodie, or a book tote through TWLOHA, and give the promise of rescue to the depressed, addicted, self-injured, and suicidal.

give a fun fabric floral accessory or a shabby chic antique through JustForLove, and give hope to the hopeless around the world.

give a handwoven scarf through fashionABLE, and give a sustainable future to women recovering from a life of poverty and prostitution.

above all else, give prayer. if you're reading this from the comfort of your home, warm and fed, on your laptop or smart phone, with plans for tomorrow...just stop and give a prayer of thanks to God. and then, please pray with me for those in need.

"In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work
we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus
himself said: It is more blessed to give than to receive. ”
