thanks, Ernie

So I've been MIA. But not really. I've been mostly here and sometimes here. Right where you left me. What's new? I've been reading, and playing in pumpkin patches, and racing for cures.

And as I write this, I'm 24 hours shy of 28.

Yesterday a complete stranger gave me a wonderful birthday gift. He told me, flat out, having just met me, to be better to myself.

He kept saying things like, "You're a gatekeeper, you're meant to do great things." And, "If you don't stand for something, you're going to fall." And, "Remember how safe you felt when you were a little girl and you climbed up in a tree and looked down at the world below?" [Okay, how did he know that?]

So I climbed up that figurative tree and made a list of things to do perpetually to stay in that "safe" place, which will allow me to "do great things".

Starting now.

1. Be Eryn.
2. Let it go.
3. Act as I would feel.
4. Do it now.
5. Be polite and be fair.
6. Enjoy the process.
7. Breed positive energy.
8. Identify the problem.
9. Slow down.
10. Do what ought to be done.
11. It doesn't always have to be logical.
12. Love concurs all.

Thanks, Ernie.
